truly lovely, T. so much quotable language here. the sentiment of being able to feel awe at the universe, even when you miss the spectacular rare events, is a really important one. there is such a poignant sense of being within the web of the world here.

Nice excerpt. Fluid prose. The inkling of the dream is there, but it's balanced. Although I've only read this sample of your novel, I believe you're writing in a way where the significance of the dream isn't lost (quite the task). It weaves throughout the narrative, making a connection with the reader.

Thanks for sharing this. I look forward to reading more of your work.

I think PK Dick was filled to the brim w/ fantastic ideas, paranoiac conspiracy musings, etc...so much so that his writing suffered (those flat characters you mentioned). How can you possibly cover so much ground in a story format (not to mention one must keep short stories short, especially for magazines) and not have something suffer? I think his work is much more "literary" than most books published today. I've been on his shorter works: many of which are wonderfully twisted.

Missed you and Heather last night. Maybe next time it's a nice night, somewhere with outdoor seating - like the Temple?

May be some weird formatting glitch here, or the retrocausal influence of sun in Gemini. Anyway, sounds amazing - if you posted Amazon/publisher links to stuff like this, I'd gladly click on them.
